Call for Proposals

Submit a proposal for the MDCSS 2026 Annual Conference, held on Friday, October 16th, 2026 at Graceland Park O'Donnell. We welcome submissions that address a wide range of social studies education topics including pedagogy, research, and policy. We invite presenters to submit proposals tied to the conference theme: 250 Year Later: Who is ‘We the People’?

Sign Up to be a Vendor

We invite vendors to purchase an exhibitor table for $50 to showcase social studies resources, instructional materials, books, technology, and services while connecting with teachers, curriculum leaders, administrators, and higher education faculty from across Maryland.

Your participation helps enrich the conference experience by providing educators with valuable resources and opportunities to discover new products and ideas that support high-quality social studies instruction.

In return for your support, MDCSS will:

  • List all exhibitors alphabetically in the conference program.

  • Advertise all exhibitors on the MDCSS website.

  • Provide a dedicated exhibitor area throughout the conference.

  • Encourage attendee visits through a vendor passport activity.

  • Provide a receipt for payment and promptly respond to conference-related questions.

  • Provide the requested number of display tables and chairs.
